Florida House of Representatives District 10 Candidates Forum
Wednesday, July 30, 2008
There are currently nine candidates officially qualified and vying to win the Florida House District 8 seat currently held by Representative Curtis Richardson. Representative Richardson is term-limited out and given the number of candidates vying for the seat, it is one that has generated extreme interest in the community. Creating even a greater sense of urgency is the fact that the Democratic nominee for the general election will be determined in the August 26 primary because of the new “no run-off” statutory provision. Therefore, it is technically possible for the Democratic nominee to be determined with less than 20 percent of the vote. At the printing of this notice, we have commitments from over half of the candidates and likely the rest will fall in line-lest they risk the wrath of the Club. Since the system has been working relatively well, we would appreciate your notice of intent to attend and to stipulate the number of guests you intend to bring by e-mailing tigerbay@comcast.net or by leaving a voicemail message at 906-0450. Please join us on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at the Silver Slipper for this important Forum.
