Capital Tiger Bay Club is proud to welcome Leon County Commissioner Bill Proctor on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 for a luncheon program dedicated to his nearly 30-years legacy of service to Leon County.
Bill Proctor, an esteemed Leon County Board of County Commissioners member representing District 1, embodies a legacy of leadership and advocacy for the community. With a focus on affordable housing, quality healthcare, education, and economic development, Commissioner Proctor has served as Chairman of the Board in 2006 and 2015, showcasing his dedication to addressing crucial issues facing Leon County. His extensive involvement spans church, community, higher education, and various levels of government.
As an Associate Minister at Bethel A.M.E. Church and Political Science instructor at Florida A&M University, Commissioner Proctor’s influence extends beyond politics into spiritual and academic realms. With notable achievements under his tenure, including infrastructure improvements, educational initiatives, and significant investments totaling over one billion dollars in District 1, Commissioner Proctor’s journey from FAMU High School to Howard University School of Communications and Howard University School of Law reflects his lifelong pursuit of learning to serve. His rich family history in Leon County, dating back to the late 1700s, inspires him to contribute to Leon County and shape the narrative of political discourse.
