There is less than a month to go before the primary and statewide candidates are still seeking to get their message out, build alliances, and secure the votes necessary to represent their party in the November general election. With current Governor Jeb Bush term limited out, the Governor’s race has taken center stage and Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate and U.S. Congressman Jim Davis is making his thoughts known about why he is best suited to take up residence in the Mansion. Congressman Davis hails from Tampa, is a fourth generation Floridian, served in the Florida Legislature from 1988-1996, and was elected to the United States House of Representatives in 1996 where he currently serves as a member of Congress. The stakes have never been higher in Florida and the campaigns and candidates are beginning to take the gloves off. Please join us as we welcome Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate Jim Davis who will share his views, perspectives, and field your questions at the next meeting of the Capital Tiger Bay Club on Thursday, August 24, 2006 at the Silver Slipper.
